Yoga helps you reach a sense of peacefulness by slowing down the mental activity and taking your mind off the causes of stress. The physical benefits are obvious: by having you gently stretch your body in ways that massage your internal organs, yoga improves circulation and boosts the immune response of your body. The cholesterol and blood sugar levels lower, while your stamina increases. Your muscles strengthen and tone up, while flexibility and joint mobility are visibly improved.
