Mental health goal setting

 


Every day on TV, radio, in newspaper or internet we can find a lot of information concerning physical, emotional, or mental health, which are so very important for every person. We are acquainted with it pretending to be healthy people. In fact, this is the most wrong allusion typical for human being. We often believe that we are out of danger. We always think about setting career goals or family goals but what about mental healthy goals. Are they less important? Mental health goal setting is a hard task on which depends our entire life. Usually it is easer to recommend something or to give a piece of advice instead of doing it.

Everybody knows that smoking, drugs, alcohol, or other toxic substances destroy the brain cells, which are irreproducible, and in such a way condemns it to damage, but we continue doing it and cannot stop. The same is with stress, depression that affects our moral condition and provokes different mental disorders, but we cannot avoid them. Children, who are in the stage of development easily become victims of mental disorders because of pressure, lack of attention and control, early smoking. The result of all this disastrous actions is an earlier death. The actual question is “how to protect yourself, and be mentally healthy?” We have to make some mental health goal setting which should be made systematically in order to obtain successful goals. 

The only condition is the will, which will be the hint of persistence in getting healthy. Therefore, the first step is to reevaluate ones life and to determine the drawbacks and the wrong decision one have made. This will help to achieve a sure position in life and become a sense of secure and relief. The second step is concentrated around the healthy eating, emotional and healthy well-being and of course exercises which will help one be in tonus. The third step is the body image, skin care, rest, and sleep. Of course this are general recommendation and it is possible that this kind of setting gloats will appear strange and bizarre, but we have to understand that the mental health is the happiness, the harmony between body, soul and mind. The catastrophes of ignoring mental disorders are great and disastrous. It is very hard and almost impossible to bloc it or to change some inveterate habits without any effort and a lot of will.

A plenty of different organizations and centers provides services and programs in support of people with mental health disorders. In schools and in other educational institutions are delivered different programs from elementary to high level, in order to provide children and teenagers with information about the  danger of wrong decisions concerning smoking, drugs, alcohol and other, and in such a way to increase the number of mental healthy people. For grown ups and elderly people are recommended courses of meditation and yoga which are of great help in reducing anxiety, stress and alienation. Meditation and breathing exercises are very efficient for people with depression. There are also courses aimed at specific mental health issues.

By the end I would like to make a short conclusion and to say that of course we can beneficiate from one or another health program but without persistence, will and a lot of work all  your wishes to be strong and healthy mental and physical are in vane.
