Movement is the power of life but sometimes this power can be very painful and unpleasant. Every day we are making more than 1000 movements with our head, hands, and legs … movements that are usual and common for us. Without thinking, we just take it for granted and sometimes we even do not assume the responsibility for our actions. Broken leg or hand, dreadful muscular pain, bruises and stretching is the result of our inaccurate actions or of the exciting of the muscle as hard as they are consciously able. Every our movement is originating in our brain which controls muscle contractions. This voluntary action appears as a signal and as result is the movement. Muscle contraction is also known as muscle twitching and it appears when a muscle cell lengthens or shortens. Muscle twitching is minor action and often goes unnoticed. While some are common and normal, the other can damage the body and indicate neurological problems. It is very important to mention that muscle twitching stress is not caused by disease or health disorders. The twitches themselves are not very painful, but in any case, the effect of them is felt very soon. Constant discomfort and soreness disturbing the same muscles for many years can lead to wariness. Under the common causes of muscle twitching stress can be a diet deficiency, the drug or caffeine overdose, diuretics or estrogens effects, exercise and others. There are also some neurological causes such as weakness, nerve dysfunctions, muscular dystrophy, or even myopathy.
Regarding the muscular contraction, there are some differences between eccentric contractions which generate the resistance of the fibers to lengthen as they contract; and concentric contractions which generate the resistance and the muscles shortens as it contracts and isometric contractions which appears when the muscle remains unchanged despite the increasing tension and isotonic contraction which is the result of constant tension of the muscles while lengthening. As a result, we can see the contraction of the muscles in different directions in order to produce a movement.
It is important to train the muscular system, but only regular and controlled training can be efficient. The fact that the muscles are approximately 10% stronger during eccentric contractions than during concentric contractions can help us to be accurate and correctly to build the form of muscles. Training that combines both eccentric and concentric muscular twitching can produce great gains in strength and toughness.
The effect of an efficient training can be amazing and very healthy at the same time, but we couldn't avoid the fact that we shouldn't overload the opportunities of our body and to condemn it to damage as it usually happen in a day or two after the training. The building of new muscles should be made step by step and under a competent control, contrary you are under the danger to get muscular cramps, which occurs when the muscles contract and couldn't relax. The cramp may involve a part or even the whole body, or just one muscle. Everyone who experienced a muscle cramp can attest that it can be quite painful. Without treatment cramps provokes spasm that can be for short or long duration. Frivolous treatment is recommended only from the very beginning, while pain, although it is recommended to consult the doctor. This is the very case when we should say that muscle twitching is easier to prevent than to treat.
