The Truth About Six-Pack Abs
Most people have their abdominal muscles – Rectus Abdominis and External Abdominal Oblique, as without them, they wouldn’t be able to stand up and walk around. A ‘six pack’ is the name given to the way the abdominal muscles look when they create raised bumps on the belly. How do I get a six-pack? The major factor to an amazing looking stomach is a good diet. The reason for which most people do not have a visible six-pack is because the stomach covered by a layer of fat. Some people consider that by doing painful isolation exercises, finally their abdominal muscles will come out. Other people believe that passing a soft current through their stomachs will do. The best way to achieve a six-pack is to eliminate the layer of fat covering the abdomen. Surely, exercises also play a major part in the process. It is incredible how impressive is the amount of gimmicks made for the only purpose of aesthetically enhancing the abdominal part of the body.
What about the latest ab gimmick? Crunch machines and large balls The first thing to question is how these machines affect your diet and the answer is they actually don’t. Remember that diet is the main contributing part to a perfect abdomen. These machines have the only role of actually making people to do exercise. Still, don’t get your hopes too high, unless you also change your diet plan. Keep in mind that you don’t need ant tools to do crunches. Electrolysis pads People are truly convinced that electrolysis pads actually make a difference. In some way, they think that passing a soft current through their body is going to instantly reduce fat and create a washboard stomach. Surely, these claims are all ‘clinically tested’ so they have to be true! Here you can read an advert and see what exactly are they claiming. They cannot lie or miss sell the product. Here’s an example: ‘X is the turning point in your new toning regime. It uses clinically proven CSI technology to tone and firm your abdominal muscles. Use everyday for 4-8 weeks to notice and feel the difference. It is equipped with 2 programmes with multiple intensity levels, LED display and batteries.’ As you can see this advert doesn’t say to use the product to get a washboard stomach. It doesn’t even come near it. It doesn’t even claim that you’ll lose any amount of fat. However, in the picture attached to the product, there is a model with amazing abs, apparently using the miraculous pad. The buyer makes the mental connection and does not feel cheated because the ad isn’t actually claiming anything. Most probably, the super-model in the advert didn’t get his abs by connecting wires to his body. Tablets and powders If these tablets and powders actually worked, they would be classified as a drug and probably prohibited. You definitely would be allowed to sell them over the counter. What is the six-pack approach? It may be disappointing news for some that it’s not easy to get a washboard stomach. If it was, a multi-million dollar industry would fall and everybody would have a washboard stomach. You can best reduce body fat by diet control. Choose a diet that suits you best, and obey it. You should be able to follow it for how long you want to keep your six-pack. Consider it as being more of a life style change, rather than a diet. Don’t select something too restrictive, because you will surely abandon it soon. The next step is to do some exercise like squats and dead lifts. Such exercises involve many muscles, including abdominal muscles. It is considered they are most effective. A washboard stomach doesn’t have to cost you anything – it’s yours, for free.
