Weight Loss God's Way
There are local Bible study groups and Sunday school classes discussing weight loss with the help of God. The church sees it like this: we are here for the eternal purposes; there is a matter where the church interferes with the earthly deeds. Can it be the physical appearance? Is our weight something we should be praying for and what if we try to lose weight and fail, will that mean God ignores our prayers? The gospel says that no matter fat or skinny, short or tall, God looks on all people equally favorably. Here are the 10 Commandments of weight loss success
Commandment 1: Get The Facts Before You Act!
Be sure that whatever you do is based on real information, not on scams and false claims. Recent studies have revealed many new insights into what works and what doesn't. Here you have some prime examples: - An incredible 96% of weight loss attempts to fail.
- We gain back a sadly 95% of all the weight we lose.
- Dieting is worse than pointless – it's counterproductive.
- Relying just on your will power commonly leads to weight gain.
- Most of the reasons for which we are overweighed have nothing to do with food or diet.
- Still, ignoring these simple truths, people turn to food-based methods like dieting and fail completely.
Commandment 2. Set Realistic Weight Loss Goals.
The targeted amount of weight loss must be based on real facts, not fantastic beliefs. If your goal is to look like Barbie or Ken you must be in Fantasyland and in dangerous denial as well. Establish your goal to be healthy and not necessarily perfect.
Commandment 3. Beware of the Diet Industry’s so called ‘solutions’. Unsuccessful diets cause huge amounts of useless suffering. Still, we still come back to dieting and other strongly-promoted ‘solutions’ because the diet industry still keeps them on the markets fiercely. Commandment 4. Understand That Weight Loss Success Is not About Food Not being overweight is actually ‘the problem’ but rather a physical symptom of a non-physical issue. To put it this way, the excess weight you can see is just a symptom of the problem you can't see. We fail losing weight because we can't solve the problems by going straight to the symptoms, but rather by dealing with the real causes of obesity. Commandment 5. Know Who You Are Losing Weight For Who do you really try want to please or impress by starting losing weight? The only person you should be losing weight for you only. If your goal is to please or impress someone else, you are already in trouble. Achieving your healthiest weight is one of those things in life that really should be ‘all about you.’ Commandment 6. Get Your Whole Being Involved ‘Body-only’ or ‘food-related’ weight loss methods are hopeless right from the beginning. For permanent weight loss, you must involve your ‘whole’ being, which is your body, mind and spirit. Try and imagine weight loss success as a 3-legged chair – that is if even one leg is missing – the stool will fall, no matter how strong the other two legs are. To be successful, you must comprise and focus all three principles of yourself on your weight loss goals.
Commandment 7. Be Very Careful What You Put In Your Mouth Diet drugs, pills, and ‘metabolizers’ are indeed at best short-term fixes; however, at worst, they can be fatal. Weight loss pills not only develop dependency, but also when you stop you inevitably gain weight back. Besides, simply because something is ‘natural’ doesn't mean it's also healthy for a certain condition. Nature is also full of poisonous stuff that may kill people and other animals. Commandment 8. Have A Realistic Time Frame Trying to lose more than 1-2 pounds per week will only get you sick, make you fail on your diet, become depressed and perhaps all these altogether. It is very unlikely and very unhealthy trying to lose 10 pounds in 2 days. You didn't gain weight overnight, so don't try to take unwanted pounds that way.
Commandment 9. You Must ‘Tune Up’ Your Colon For Long-Term Health Poor colon function is epidemic, dangerous, and is a primary factor in excess weight. Too little exercise, too much protein, fat, sugar, salt, alcohol, nicotine, and not much fiber adds up to lousy colon function--causing discomfort, sluggish digestion, poor nutrient assimilation, heartburn, gas, allergies, even cancer. Commandment 10. See Effort and Struggle As ‘Red Flags’ Almost everybody who stays at the same targeted weight year along surely uses a proven ‘success recipe’ that makes success struggle-free and basically with any kind of effort. Only few researchers know this and you can be sure you won't hear it from the diet industry either. It can be difficult for the priests to help people keep earthly and spiritual matters apart. If someone is fighting with food addiction or an eating disorder, then he would probably suggest that a prayer is appropriate. God walks along your side every day and He helps you live a more peaceful and authentic life.
